The MCS School Board has selected Mr. Ray Kochis as its new Head of School on Monday, May 4, 2015. “Kochis will be bringing to Madison valuable experience and knowledge in Christian school leadership,” said Lee Reno who is currently the interim school leader.

Alice Brooks has been serving at MCS since 2006. She earned a BS in Elementary Education from Grace College and Theological Seminary and a M. Ed. in Reading and Literacy from Marygrove College. Alice and her husband David, have 2 black labs, Oscar and Finnick. They attend Southwest Grace Brethren Church. She enjoys photography, family time, having a good time, and Mountain Dew.

Waverly Wilkerson has been serving at MCS since 2012. He earned a Bachelors and Masters in Music Education from Murray State University and a MS in Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. Waverly also received his Doctorate in Worship Studies from Robert E. Webber Institute. Before coming to MCS, he taught general music on the elementary level; music theory, piano, and musical theatre on the college level. Waverly has also served as a Music and Youth Pastor and Worship Pastor, accompanied choirs and show choirs in several high schools, and worked for the theatre department at Groveport Madison High School. He teaches HS Bible, Jr/Sr High School Band, and is the Theatre Co-Director at MCS. Waverly and his wife Nancy, have 2 sons and several unofficially adopted sons and daughters. They attend Liberty Way Church, where he is the worship pastor. He enjoys playing the piano and classical guitar, reading, watching musicals and science fiction movies,. He also enjoys watching and participating in live theatre, and working with youth.

His favorite verse is Philippians 4:12-13 – “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. Kristi Smith has been serving at MCS since 2006. She earned a BS in Science Education from The Ohio State University and a Masters in School Counseling from the University of Dayton. Kristi and her husband JD, have a son, (Steven graduated from MCS in 2013). They attend Maranatha Baptist Church. She enjoys reading nonfiction and spending time with family.

Her favorite verse is Romans 8:28 – “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” ]]> 0
